Hello there! I'm a Graphic Designer working in New York City. I'm starting this blog to document my inspiration, travels, friends and life!
I am half dutch, half Belgian and grew up in the South of France. My passions are design, traveling and eating
... a lot.

Just found these very cool wedding invites by Kelli Anderson. Not only is the design cool, but they actually play music on a record via a needle that you fold up. Watch the video of how they work here. Very original!
Happy Easter, just wanted to share how we spent our lovely Easter day. Our friends Mark and Daria prepared a delicious lunch complete with rooftop champagne, painted eggs, and an adorable mischievous cat Milo. Thanks guys!
Reason number #120398 that I want an iPhone. These are some shots from an online exhibition called Pixels displaying only photos that were taken and manipulated on the iPhone. It's incredible that technology has brought us to a point where you can take such fantastic artistic shots with just a phone. Obviously I think that a lot of these shots use pre-made filters, but the results are impressive. The only thing I don't love about this revelation is that now anyone with a phone can be a "photographer", sadly I believe it dilutes the art a little bit. But let's be honest, once I finally get one, I'm gonna take full advantage of that camera too.
Photos posted by Knox and Atombee, not sure who the individual photographers are.
Check out this awesome design for a house on water. Just imagine...waking up, walking out your window and diving straight into the warm crystal blue water. All before you even brush your teeth and go to work. Not to mention the great BBQ parties you could have on that roof! Wouldn't it be lovely.
Experimental photographer Viktor Bors captures magical landscapes and make's them seem almost fairytale-like. Here a photo taken in Bokod, Hungary looking like a cozy version of the Maldives.
Just found these cute posters by Aled Lewis. I love how the personalities of the animals come out, they are so simple but instantly put a smile on my face. View and buy full collection here.
Happy almost-summer people! First iced latte of the year...I'm secretly praying that switching from hot to iced drinks will stimulate the warm weather to finally arrive.
Awesome new infographic for Jetsetter.com. It's a Jetsetter survey (full version here) which is not only fun to go through, but also really well designed. My results: hell yes Im a jetsetter! Bose Noise Canceling headsets - check, Sleep Mask - check, Canon camera - check, JFK > CDG status - check, embarrassing love for cheesy in-flight movies - double check! Now just gotta start saving to book that trip with Jetsetter.com...
When after a long day's work (dreading the smelly subway ride home) you get underground and discover this, you just know you're living in a magical city. Lo and behold, the station was filled with the sound of a live band playing and couples doing the foxtrot, salsa and ballroom as commuters pushed through the human traffic to get to their trains.
I've started to fantasize about decorating my new apartment but quickly realized that my budget didn't quite allow for $500 poster purchases just yet. Which led me in the direction of Etsy to see what small independent designers and artists are selling at the moment, a good place to start for art lovers on a budget. Above are the ones that caught my eye... still trying to figure out who will make the final cut to land a spot on my bedroom wall.
In light of my new found transition from Manhattanite to Brooklynite I wanted to showcase the work of Jim Datz who makes these really great graphic posters about the tri-state neighborhoods. You can buy his prints for $60 here.
Dear Comrade have a show tomorrow night! Come to Fontana's to see them play at 9:30. In the meantime listen to some of their songs here. POSTER: Arthur Kremer
This weekend some friends and I decided to do something a little bit out of the ordinary with our Saturday. We took a trip to the Central Park Zoo. We saw some amazing animals like polar bears and snow leopards, my only concern is how these animals will survive the awfuly warm summer days ahead, quite the change from the snowy ice caps of the North Pole. In any event, it's quite the attraction and well worth the modest $12 entrance to see creatures like these in our very own NYC park.
