Central Park Zoo

This weekend some friends and I decided to do something a little bit out of the ordinary with our Saturday. We took a trip to the Central Park Zoo. We saw some amazing animals like polar bears and snow leopards, my only concern is how these animals will survive the awfuly warm summer days ahead, quite the change from the snowy ice caps of the North Pole. In any event, it's quite the attraction and well worth the modest $12 entrance to see creatures like these in our very own NYC park.

Brooklyn Bowl

Last night I went to Brooklyn Bowl. I had heard about it, and after living in the city for almost 3 years, I finally had the chance to check it out. It has a really cool retro Brooklyn feel to it, a great place to come with a group of friends, make a fool out of yourself bowling, listen to some live music, and eat fried chicken. The best part of it for me personally was all the cool typography they used on the posters and menu.

Fuerza Bruta

Friday night..7 PM...strolling around Union Square without a plan in sight and then BOOM, it hit me...FUERZA BRUTA! Arthur and I were lucky enough to get a charitable donation from a man with photographic epilepsy...Half price tickets! Talk about the right place at the right time. My second time seeing the show, and the amazement doesn't fade a bit. You can see some of my photos and a video I took, half naked women slipping and sliding over you, dance music blasting, wind and water blowing in your face...if you haven't seen it, get over there now. you wont regret it, and bring your camera!
